TOP MOUNTAIN  MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM

PRESS

The TOP Mountain Crosspoint - at an altitude of about 2,175 m and designed by the architect Michael Broetz - is unique in the alpine area and fulfils 4 functions: a restaurant, a 10-person gondola lift, the Timmelsjoch tollgate and the TOP Mountain Motorcycle Museum.
The toll station for the Timmelsjoch – the indirect gateway to the south – marks the starting point of the adventure road from North to South Tyrol, which counts as a favourite destination for car and motorcycle enthusiasts.

The exhibition space of the TOP Mountain Motorcycle Museum is architecturally very remarkable in itself, and the combination with the exhibition results in an experience that you simply have to enjoy - even if you are not a motorcyclist yourself!
Since April 2016, over 500 classic motorbikes and vintage cars from various manufacturers from the collection of Attila and Alban Scheiber and other collectors have been presented there on 4,500m². Selected exhibits of the following brands are on permanent display in the museum: Moto Guzzi, MV Augusta, Ducati, BMW, NSU, DKW, Zündapp, Triumph, Sunbeam, Norton, Matchless, A.J.S., Brough Superior, Vincent, Honda, Henderson, Indian, Harley Davidson and many, many more.

In addition, some extraordinary cars and their history are presented in the museum. The museum's offer is rounded off by various changing special exhibitions, which also go beyond the topic of motorbikes.

In January 2021, the motorbike museum on the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road with over 350 unique exhibits was in full fire and almost completely destroyed, a huge loss for the entire motorbike and classic car community. However, the Hochgurgl visionaries and motorbike enthusiasts Attila and Alban Scheiber did not give up their lifelong dream:

A few months after the fire, the TOP Mountain Motorcycle Museum reopened on the 18th of November 2021 - bigger, more spectacular, more informative and more exciting!
