The Pass Museum

Directly on the Timmelsjoch sits the Pass Museum like a single rock extending across the border between Austria and Italy. In recognition of the remarkable performance of the pass road pioneers, the museum tells the story of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road from the building of the foundations to completion.

In addition, there is useful information about the heyday of trade via the Timmelsjoch between the beginning of the 13th and up to the end of the 15th century, over a primer of pre-Christian times in the exhibition, and much more.
